OUR HISTORY

The Making of
Aceso Dental USA

Modern Dental Group began in Shenzhen, China, over thirty years ago. Strong foresight led our hardworking lab through a series of fortuitous expansions, first working closely with distribution centers in Asia, Europe, and Australia—and eventually entering the U.S. market through a group of carefully selected and respected labs. With considerable global resources, Aceso Dental USA is prepared to meet your specific needs.

Relationships With the World

Our parent laboratory was established in Hong Kong circa 1986. While working with the top restorative dentists and researchers in the Hong Kong, Modern Dental Laboratory built a reputation for its high-quality craftsmanship, which remains to this day. Over time, it became the largest dental laboratory in Hong Kong.

As the laboratory grew, Modern began introducing its high-quality restorations throughout Europe. With an innovative and synchronized manufacturing system, their growth began to surpass more extensive labs without losing control over their hallmark – excellent artistry. In 1986, Modern established partnerships in France and Germany, leading to exceptional results. In 1990, the lab moved to a much larger facility in Shenzhen to keep up with the demands of an emerging global market.

Always Striving for Excellence

Since the completion of Modern's Shenzhen facility in February 2005, it has grown to be the most prominent dental laboratory in the world. It houses the biggest dental technology school in the world. With a capacity of 5,000 technicians, the campus features a seven-story, state-of-the-art laboratory equipped with the best dental technology in the world.

In August 2006, the lab reached another milestone by completing the requirements for the new ISO 13485 – the recognized world standard for quality management in the manufacturing of medical devices. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recognizes ISO 13485 as exceeding Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

As we look to the future with our parent organization, we know that our dedication and collaboration will continue to create the finest dental restorations in the world.

In 1997, the lab was certified in the ISO (International Organization of Standardization) 9001 quality system and the EN 46002 system (the European Union medical device directive of the time). The foundation of these certifications lies in thorough record-keeping requirements – tracking lot numbers of raw materials through to final patients for five years (typical in the pharmaceutical arena). Meeting these stringent requirements is not mandated in the U.S. market and strongly differentiates Modern Dental Lab. By fulfilling this higher level of quality control and accountability, you can have confidence that your Modern restorations are produced through one of the best laboratory manufacturing systems in the world.
